Description

“Develop a Differentiated Strategy” empowers managers and senior leaders to generate focused strategies, identify the associated risks and assumptions, and mobilize teams to execute. The class begins with a case study of two airlines, one of which has a failing strategy.  You will then discuss the connections between goals, strategies, and plans before identifying your own goal.

You will conduct a SWOT analysis for your team, and then use a TOWS analysis to combine your team’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats into unique strategies. In breakout rooms, you will partner to discuss goals, proposed strategies, and the risks and assumptions associated with your strategy.  Through these activities, you will leave class with a strategic plan aligned to your goal.

Once registered, you will have access to asynchronous articles and tools.

At the end of the class you’ll be able to:

  • Identify characteristics of effective strategy
  • Formulate a differentiated team strategy using SWOT and TOWS analysis
  • Identify risks and assumptions associated with a strategy
