Description

Designed for all audiences, “Address Microaggressions on Your Team” equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize and address microaggressions in the workplace.  Microaggressions are subtle, often unintentional, behaviors that communicate negative or derogatory messages about a person's identity.

Through a case study of a microaggression incident. Participants are challenged to analyze the impact of microaggressions. This prepares them to respond to microaggressions in a way that leads to greater understanding using the PART framework.

At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Summarize the difference between intention and impact when discussing microaggressions
  • Identify the impact of hidden messages underlying microaggressions
  • Use the PART framework to respond to microaggressions
