Description

Adopting a strengths-based approach to management can boost productivity and engagement on your team and ensure that you are enabling your team to produce their best work.

In this practice lab, you’ll practice applying strengths-based management to your teams. You’ll learn how to go beyond the initial response when discovering what types of tasks your direct reports enjoy, and ask deep questions to uncover what elements of a task energizes them. Additionally, you’ll brainstorm ways to help your team spend more time in their “zone of genius”, where they are able to utilize their strengths and produce meaningful results.

You’ll leave with a greater understanding of:

  • How to identify what kinds of tasks energize your direct reports
  • How to create opportunities that allow your team to utilize their strengths
  • How to support direct reports in growing their strengths
