"Run Effective Interviews” empowers hiring managers, team leads, and people leaders across functions with the skills and structure to conduct fair, engaging, and effective interviews. The class begins with a reflective group discussion on the challenges and goals of interviewing, helping participants surface their current habits and biases. This foundation leads into an immersive practice interview exercise, where learners take turns acting as interviewer and observer to apply behavioral and skill-based questioning techniques in real time.

Through these experiences, participants explore the principles of objective evaluation, structured questioning, and documentation frameworks that reduce bias and improve hiring consistency (Concepts). The class highlights how thoughtful preparation and evidence-based note-taking enhance both the candidate experience and hiring outcomes.

At the end of this class, you will be able to:

  • Explain why effective, structured interviews improve hiring decisions, fairness, and candidate experience.
  • Prepare using your org’s process (mapped questions/JD/resume/training) and a practical checklist.
  • Run a scalable interview using behavior-based questions (no single model endorsed) and evidence-based notes.
