Masterclass: Transform Loneliness Into Connectedness (For You and Your Team)

1 class
60 minutes

Description

Loneliness at work is increasingly a global epidemic impacting productivity, creativity, and health care costs. According to a 2020 CIGNA survey, 61% of adults in the United States reported feeling lonely (79% Gen Z, 71% Millennials, and 50% Baby Boomers). A Harvard Business Review survey found that 50% of CEOs felt lonely, with 61% reporting that it affected their performance. These numbers have only been exacerbated by the covid pandemic.

How might we use the science of social connection to overcome loneliness at work? In this special session, Harvard-trained physician and educator Parneet Pal, MBBS, will dive deep into uncovering the answers.

You will leave with a greater understanding of the following:

  • What loneliness actually means, and how it differs from social isolation
  • The health and work-related impacts of loneliness
  • Leverage the power of social connection to integrate practical strategies for personal and team resilience
